St. Andrew’s is debt-free!

I have great news to share: this month St. Andrew’s paid off the remaining $57,000 in construction debt from the 2006/2007 capital campaign and improvements. I’ll share more about this in my upcoming Harmony newsletter article.

On Sunday, Nov. 6th we’ll gather in the parish hall after the main service to “burn the note” in celebration and thanksgiving for all who have made this possible.

And what made this possible? Really, we should thank everyone who contributed over the years to the $694,000 in capital improvements St. Andrew’s undertook in 2007. We should especially thank those who ran a debt reduction campaign in 2011, those who gave at the time and those who have given in the years since to keep the momentum going on repayment. Finally, we recently received a legacy gift from the estate of Leota Osborne that allowed us to pay off the remainder of the debt. I am very grateful to Leota for her gift.

I give thanks for everyone who has made this happen!
